Friday morning, Washington Football Team long snapper Nick Sundberg shared a pair of photos of a recent surgery he underwent. The two Instagram stories had images of a surgical scar over his elbow.

The first captioned “1 month out,” while the second read “all cleaned up.”

It turns out Sundberg had surgery to repair a tricep tendon, according to Pete Hailey of NBC Sports.

Hailey added Sunberg actually tore his tendon in August of last year before the start of the 2020 season. The long snapper played all season with a torn tricep tendon. He played in all 16 games and a total of 143 snaps on special teams.

Sundberg, 33, has played 11 seasons with Washington. He’s one-third of Washington dynamic trio on special teams along with place kicker Dustin Hopkins and punter Tress Way. Hopefully, his recovery continues to go well and he is back up to speed for the upcoming 2021 season.
