O'Cyrus Torrence a potential target for Bills in NFL Draft

The Buffalo Bills have six picks in the upcoming NFL Draft, including No. 27 in the first round.

Among the prospects the team has met with leading up to the draft is Florida offensive linemen O'Cyrus Torrence

Torrence started for three seasons at Louisiana before transferring to Florida for the 2022 season, where he was the first consensus All-American at offensive guard in school history.

Torrence is massive even by NFL standards, with 11.25 inch hands and a wingspan close to seven feet.

While Torrence isn't a spectacular athlete, he's especially strong and stout. He moves people and rarely gets pushed into the quarterback's lap.

The Bills added offensive line help in free agency.

Connor McGovern, 25, started 15 games for the Cowboys last year and signed a three year, $22.35 million contract with the Bills. In a recent press conference, GM Brandon Beane said he sees McGovern fitting at left guard, highlighting his steady pass protection and center versatility.

If selected, Torrence could stay at his natural position and compete with Ryan Bates - a former undrafted free agent who played right guard for the Bills last season.

In 2019, the Bills traded up to select Cody Ford early in the second round. Ford didn't work out as planned in Buffalo, and was traded to the Arizona Cardinals last year.

Torrence could add the physical presence GM Brandon Beane sought when selecting Ford.

The Bills haven't selected an offensive linemen in the first round since Eric Wood (2009). Wood started 120 games for the Bills and made one Pro Bowl in 2015.

Interestingly, Buffalo selected cornerback Kaiir Elam out of Florida in the first round last year.

Time will tell if the Bills pick another Florida Gator, but Torrence's potential to help protect Josh Allen and bolster their rushing attack could be a nice addition as the team looks to take the next step.
