The Green Bay Packers would obviously prefer that Aaron Rodgers play for them in 2022. If they are forced to trade him, however, they have a preference on where they would like to send him.
The Packers have made it clear that they do not want to trade Rodgers to an NFC rival, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports. Other teams have reached out to the Packers about Rodgers, and Green Bay would demand a “massive return” if they are forced to move the star quarterback.
Notably, the three teams Rodgers has been linked to in trade rumors are all in the AFC. That is almost certainly not a coincidence. It strongly suggests that a deal may not be feasible for one quarterback-needy NFC team, even if Rodgers would want to go there.
New reports suggest that Rodgers is legitimately torn regarding his playing future. He appears to have options if he does want to leave Green Bay, but there is no hint on when that decision might be made.
