Packers to approach training camp the same with or without Aaron Rodgers

As Green Bay Packers starting quarterback and reigning NFL Most Valuable Player Aaron Rodgers is able to joke about enjoying a "great" and "quiet" offseason while he remains away from the organization amid reports he wants to be traded, 2020 rookie Jordan Love has served as Green Bay's temporary QB1 and shown signs of improvement.

Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur told reporters last week he and offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett "kind of threw everything" at Love during mandatory minicamp, and LaFleur suggested Thursday that won't change when training camp opens next month regardless of where Rodgers is located at that time.

"We'll have one plan," LaFleur said about training camp, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN. "We've kind of pretty much laid that out. Just going to fine-tune some things over the next few weeks in terms of the logistics of our schedule and whatnot. We've got what we feel is a pretty good blueprint in terms of how to get our guys ready to play. Obviously, it is a little bit different this year in terms of the number of preseason games and then you compare it to last year, so you're kind of leaning back on the 2019 season. We feel confident with what we'll have in place with the guys. We'll look forward to getting them back July 27."

It remains unknown if Rodgers will continue his holdout through the start of training camp.
