Patriots' David Andrews excited to work with rookie QB Mac Jones

The New England Patriots selected Mac Jones 15th overall in this year's draft, setting him up to be the franchise's quarterback of the future. 

Jones will likely take over sooner rather than later, and center David Andrews, who recently signed a four-year extension with the Patriots, is excited to work with the rookie signal-caller.

"I've heard a lot about him," Andrews said, according to Karen Guregian of the Boston Herald. "I'm not a quarterback scout, but I'm just excited to get to work with him, get to meet him and hang out with him. I've heard a lot of great things about him."

It's unclear when Jones might take over as New England's starter. After selecting the former Alabama signal-caller, head coach Bill Belichick said that Cam Newton is still the team's starting quarterback. 

Jones will get the opportunity to supplant Newton, but he probably won't be the Patriots' starter until at least the 2022 campaign.
