After the departure of Mac Jones to Jacksonville, Mayo recalled former player Jacoby Brissett from Washington. Compared to Maye, the veteran has far more knowledge of the Patriots playbook. If the rookie fails to convince Mayo, then Brissett might receive the green signal.
