Patriots sign two-time Pro Bowler Matthew Judon, DB Jalen Mills to four-year deals

Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots are loading up this offseason after a disappointing 2020 campaign.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Patriots signed former Baltimore Ravens pass-rusher Matthew Judon to a four-year, $56 million deal and former Philadelphia Eagles defensive back Jalen Mills to a four-year, $24 million deal.

The Patriots reportedly made a "major push" for Judon, and it paid off. The two-time Pro Bowler spent the first five years of his career with the Ravens. In 14 games last season, he recorded six sacks, 50 tackles and 21 quarterback hits.

Mills spent the first five years of his career with the Philadelphia Eagles. In 2020, he recorded one interception, one forced fumble, 1.5 sacks, 74 tackles and five quarterback hits.

The Patriots also signed former Tennessee Titans tight end Jonnu Smith and former Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Davon Godchaux on Monday.

All of New England's signings have some around the league taking notice, including Indianapolis Colts linebacker Darius Leonard, who thinks Cam Newton will flourish in 2021 with Belichick spending money to add around him.
