PFF names 'one last move' Bengals should make

The Bengals are certainly a team to envy as they don't have many holes on their roster. However, after leaving one position unaddressed following the 2023 NFL Draft, Pro Football Focus believes they should make one more move.

PFF says Cincinnati should sign veteran offensive tackle Brandon Shell.

"There are not many obvious areas of need on this team ... but tackle still remains an area of potential concern," PFF writes.

Right tackle La'el Collins, who tore his ACL and MCL late last season, told reporters that he's ahead of schedule in his recovery but his timeline to being fully healthy is still unknown.

Offensive tackle Jonah Williams would have been the easy fix as he has previous experience at right tackle, but he requested a trade after the team signed Orlando Brown Jr. in free agency.

Williams may have to end up giving in if he doesn't have the suitors many thought he would but adding Shell wouldn't hurt as he would provide depth to the position at the least.

Shell, who is 31, allowed just two sacks in 2022 with the Dolphins, according to PFF. The seven-year veteran is searching for his fourth team since entering the league as a fifth-round pick in 2016.

The Bengals clearly still have some decisions to make as they round out their roster for the 2023 season but adding Shell feels like an easy choice with the team's uncertainty surrounding right tackle.
