The Philadelphia Eagles made a big splash before the trade deadline landing safety Kevin Byard from the Titans. Wide receiver AJ Brown was stoked and revealed what he said to Byard after the trade happened.

Philadelphia Eagles AJ Brown Excited About Kevin Byard

When asked what he told his new teammate, Brown said, “I told him, ‘You’re a winner now. Things are done different around here. But enjoy it and just get up to speed. He’s a great player. He won’t have no trouble to adapt.” The safety position had been a weak spot for the team as CJ Gardner-Johnson left in free agency. Injuries have also hampered the group but now they have one of the best safeties in football. There is a subtle shade thrown at Tennessee but I don’t think that was the purpose behind the comments. Brown is excited to make another Super Bowl run and Byard can help.

Can The Eagles Make It Back?

Right now, they are in the driver’s seat in the NFC. The 49ers have slipped the past couple of weeks and no other NFC team really seems to be on par with those two teams. While that does not make it a guarantee they will make it back, they have set themselves up well for another run. Shoring up the back end of their defense was critical. With Brown and Jalen Hurts playing at the level they are, the Eagles should be in line for a deep playoff run.

The real question is how long will it take Kevin Byard to get up to speed? If he can learn quickly, this Eagles team could get back to their dominant ways quickly.
