Pro Bowler Maxx Crosby reveals what he's 'sick of' with Raiders

Las Vegas Raiders star pass-rusher Maxx Crosby is tired of waiting for postseason successes.

"You know, for me, I just worry about the day," Crosby told reporters on Thursday, as shared by Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk. "I’m worried about getting better today and then tomorrow when it gets here, I’m worried about that. Every single day, I come in here, I think about winning. I don’t do this year-round to come in and not make the playoffs — I’m sick of that s---. And I want to keep winning."

Crosby joined the Raiders as a fourth-round draft pick in 2019 and has since earned a pair of Pro Bowl nods across his four NFL seasons. Over that time, the franchise completed just a single journey to the postseason, a one-and-done trip that ended when Las Vegas fell to the Cincinnati Bengals in the wild-card round back in January 2022.

The Raiders went 6-11 last season, parted ways with quarterback Derek Carr this winter and replaced him with former San Francisco 49ers starter Jimmy Garoppolo. Crosby made it known Thursday he expects to win immediately with Garoppolo leading the club's offense.

"I want to get back in the playoffs," Crosby continued. "I want to be in Cincinnati on the road in a hostile environment — that’s why I play the game. That’s why I work the way I work. I come here and I do this all year. And, like I said, I want to win championships. I want to be at the top of the game...So, yeah, I’m fired up for this organization. I love all the people in here. And I’m really just trying to be my best version of myself and lead by example."

Per ESPN stats, Crosby finished the 2022 regular season tied for eighth in the league with 12.5 sacks. The 25-year-old will need to bolster such production to be considered among those at "the top of the game" by Week 18 in January.
