During his time in Cleveland, Baker Mayfield was in commercials for Progressive. The series of commercials was called “At Home With Baker Mayfield,” which would show him living in First Energy Stadium. The commercials would have him doing household chores around the stadium including mowing the lawn, washing dishes, and watering plants.

The commercials would look something like this:

But now that Baker is no longer in Cleveland, there will be no more of those ads.

There was hope that we could get one more of them made, but Baker’s idea was shut down pretty quickly by Progressive.

The final commercial might’ve included Baker packing up a U-Haul truck and relocating to the Panther’s Bank of America Stadium, but we won’t be getting anything like that.

Baker called Progressive’s reluctance a “missed opportunity.” You would think that a commercial with Baker moving out of First Energy Stadium would get many views, but it seems that Progressive isn’t ready to see him leave.

And some people on Twitter were getting creative with how the commercial could go.

Now, this would obviously never happen, but some people are having fun with the whole situation.

What’s Next For Baker?

Now that Baker has lost his endorsement with Progressive, it appears that his next target is going to be with Bojangles.

In this bit of his first press conference with Carolina, it seems that he was really talking them up.

It’s not certain if that was his goal with that quote, but he seemed very excited about Bojangles.

Even the Bojangles Twitter account got in on the action and sent out this tweet to Baker:

No matter what happens, Mayfield lost out on an endorsement he had, but he did have a good idea to end it, though. It’s just too bad the idea wasn’t capitalized on. He’ll definitely get some endorsements down in Carolina, but we’ll just have to see what they are.
