Las Vegas Raiders OT Brandon Parker has gone down again for the second year in a row, with consecutive trips to the IR. Will he ever play again? Well, considering the magnitude of what this means for the right tackle position, we’d figure we’d ask Raider Nation their thoughts on this.

It’s been a rough couple of years for Raiders OT Brandon Parker…

Nobody wishes injuries on anyone, especially when it comes to young players vying for playing time, which is exactly what Parker was fighting for. He had recently weighed in on just that while speaking with USA Today’s Levi Damien prior to his injury.

“It’s still a tough competition. Jermaine Eluemunor played really great last year, and Thayer [Munford Jr.] played really well. So, in order for me to even be in the mix, I have to step my game up because they both evolved in the following year. Every time I see them kind of do it right, I’m trying to get right up there with them because competition breeds excellence. So, it doesn’t do anything but help us all if everybody else is getting better.”

What makes Parker’s circumstance even more unfortunate is when you take into account this was around the same time he suffered a triceps injury last year. After struggling in the Hall of Fame Game, Parker’s preseason came to an abrupt end, though the Raiders’ brass still saw something in him. Hence, Parker returned this past offseason.

With back-to-back season-ending ailments sidelining Parker, one has to wonder if playing in the NFL is still in the cards for him. We asked our readers via X (Twitter) whether Parker’s playing career is in jeopardy or not, and as always, they didn’t disappoint.
