The Las Vegas Raiders sign a tight end

The Las Vegas Raiders continued their offensive overhaul with the signing of a tight end. The Raiders traded Darren Waller to the New York Giants last week. The Raiders added wide receivers Jakobi Meyers and JuJu Smith-Schuster to join forces with Davante Adams. Jimmy Garoppolo will now see the services of a formerly first-round pick at tight end next season.

According to Ian Rapoport with the NFL Network, the Raiders are signing former Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end OJ Howard.

Howard is a former 2019 first-round pick by the Buccaneers. He was on the team that won Super Bowl LV. Howard has spent time with the Buffalo Bills and Houston Texans. He has 129 receptions for 1,882 receiving yards and 17 touchdown receptions in his NFL career. Howard earned an overall 56.2 offensive grade for his play during the 2022 season. He will look to improve in the Raiders’ new offense.
