Raiders to interview head coach, GM candidates without firing Rich Bisaccia, Mike Mayock

The Las Vegas Raiders haven't moved on from interim head coach Rich Bisaccia or general manager Mike Mayock, but the team is going window shopping for replacements anyway.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Raiders have requested interviews with New England Patriots linebacker Jerod Mayo and Patriots director of player personnel Dave Ziegler to potentially take over as head coach and general manager, respectively. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network also reported that the Raiders are likely to request an interview with Indianapolis Colts assistant general manager Ed Dodds.

The Raiders finished 10-7 and earned a spot in the playoffs for only the second time in the 19 seasons since the team's appearance in Super Bowl XXXVII. Las Vegas lost Saturday in a Wild Card Weekend matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals, 26-19.

Mayock, 63, has been the team's general manager since 2019 after previously serving as a draft analyst for NFL Network. While some of his better draft picks include Maxx Crosby, Josh Jacobs, and Hunter Renfrow, the Raiders have also received lackluster play out of No. 4 overall selection Clelin Ferrell and parted ways with 2020 first-rounders Henry Ruggs III and Damon Arnette due to off-field transgressions.

Bisaccia, 61, took over as the Raiders' interim head coach in October following the resignation of Jon Gruden. The team finished the regular season 7-5 with Bisaccia at the helm, and players on the team have publicly campaigned for him to keep the job into the 2022 season.
