Ravens fear J.K. Dobbins suffered season-ending knee injury

The Baltimore Ravens reportedly fear that J.K. Dobbins suffered a season-ending knee injury in Saturday's 37-3 win over the Washington Football Team, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Dobbins laid on the ground holding his knee after being tackled on a screen pass on the ninth play of Saturday's game. His left knee took a direct hit from the shoulder of Washington cornerback Jimmy Moreland.

The 22-year-old was helped off the field by trainers as he couldn't put any weight on his left leg.

If Dobbins is sidelined for the year, it'll be a massive blow to Baltimore's run-heavy offense.

A 2020 second-round pick, Dobbins was entering his first season as Baltimore's primary running back. Last year, he rushed for 805 yards and nine touchdowns, playing a significant role in the Ravens' playoff push.

Gus Edwards is the next man up for Baltimore if Dobbins is out. The 26-year-old has three consecutive seasons of more than 700 rushing yards, but the 2020 campaign was his best. The New York native ran for a career-high 723 yards and six scores.

In addition to Edwards, the Ravens also have Justice Hill and Ty'Son Williams on the roster. Baltimore selected Hill in the fourth round of the 2019 draft and Williams went undrafted in 2020.
