Ravens' John Harbaugh discusses return of TE Mark Andrews

Shortly after it was learned Friday that Baltimore Ravens star tight end Mark Andrews had officially returned to practice for the first time since suffering a left ankle injury in November, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh suggested that Andrews is "in that range" to possibly play in the divisional round of the playoffs. 

"But today was the first day, he did individual, that was it," Harbaugh said about Andrews during a news conference, as shared by Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk. "So we’ll kind of ramp [up] from there and we’ll get into next week and we’ll have a better idea." 

Andrews has been sidelined since he went down during Baltimore's Week 11 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, which improved the Ravens' record to 8-3. Without his services, Baltimore ultimately clinched the No. 1 seed for the playoffs and finished the regular season with a record of 13-4. 

That's not to say the Ravens don't need Andrews for the most important games of the campaign. According to ESPN stats, he finished the regular season leading all Baltimore players with six touchdown catches even though he appeared in just 10 games. He's second on the team with 45 receptions and third with both 61 targets and 544 receiving yards. 

The Ravens will face the lowest-seeded AFC team remaining following Sunday's action. 

"Everybody’s excited for Mark," Harbaugh added. "Mark, you see him in the training room every day, he’s in the weight room, he’s in the meetings. Everybody knows and everybody kind of knew he was coming out and practicing, so they’re happy for Mark. You always want to see one of the brothers out there doing their thing."

As of Friday afternoon, DraftKings Sportsbook listed the Ravens as the betting favorites at +120 odds to represent the AFC in Super Bowl LVIII. That same outlet had Baltimore second among the betting favorites at +310 odds to hoist the Vince Lombardi Trophy in February. 

It sounds like Andrews could potentially take the field when the Ravens enter the postseason tournament next weekend.
