Baltimore Ravens special teams coordinator Chris Horton spoke to the media about punter Jordan Stout.

"Jordan's one of those guys, when we watched him we understood what kind of talent he had coming into the draft and coming out of college." Horton said. "And I think it's just one of those things where he's spending all this time with Randy and with Sam and just being able to be that punter that he was in college. And I think what you guys are seeing is, you're seeing the player that we saw. He's gaining a lot of confidence and last week he had a really good game."

The Ravens drafted Stout in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Penn State, where he averaged 46.0 yards per punt in his senior season.

Since he was drafted by Baltimore, he has punted in 25 games, averaging 46.8 yards per punt on 92 kicks and has dropped 42 of them inside the 20-yard line. In the Week 8 win against the Arizona Cardinals, Stout dropped four of his five punts inside the 10-yard line for no return.

"I think just for him, it's a lot of confidence, he's starting to feel it, and then it's just understanding that every rep is going to be different," Horton said. "And because every rep is going to be different, you have to approach them that way. Each kick is not gonna be the same so you execute, go through your fundamentals, you'll get the results you want."

Stout has been a reliable punter for the Ravens, something that can be very valuable for a team. Between him and Justin Tucker, there isn't much stress involved with the legs in the special teams unit.

Next up for Baltimore is a home game against the Seattle Seahawks on Nov. 5 at 1 p.m.
