Report: Browns RBs Nick Chubb, Demetric Felton test positive for COVID-19

Cleveland Browns Pro Bowl running back Nick Chubb has already missed two games this season due to injury. Now, there's a chance he could be forced to sit out due to an entirely different reason.

Both Chubb and rookie back Demetric Felton have tested positive for COVID-19, just five days ahead of their Week 10 showdown with the New England Patriots. Both players are vaccinated, so they still have a chance to suit up on Sunday.

The Chubb and Felton news comes on the heels of fellow running back John Kelly's COVID-19 positive test.

If Chubb were to miss Sunday's game -- and D'Ernest Johnson stays healthy -- the third-year back out of the University of South Florida would draw the start. In the Browns' 17-14 "Thursday Night Football" win over the Denver Broncos in Week 7 on Oct. 21, Johnson had a career-night in place of Chubb.

In that game, Johnson picked up 146 rushing yards and one touchdown on 22 carries, while adding two receptions on two targets for 22 yards as well. With Chubb back on the field, though, Johnson has reverted back to a backup role and has had just 12 carries for 38 yards and one touchdown over the last two weeks.
