The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are re-signing defensive end Patrick O’Connor per Jordan Schultz.

O’Connor was a 7th-round pick by the Detroit Lions in 2017. After being cut during that offseason he joined the Buccaneers and has been an integral part of the Pewter Pirates rotation on defense.

Via Fox Sports’ Greg Auman,

“Last four years, Pat O’Connor has played 1,115 special-teams for Bucs, most on the team. He has 20 total tackles, 1.5 sacks. Was a Lions seventh-round pick in 2017, now back with Bucs for a fifth year in 2023.”

“It’s a one-year veteran salary benefit deal for Bucs and DL Pat O’Connor. Should be $1.08 million plus $152,500 signing bonus.”
