The Denver Broncos are in the market for a quarterback. This comes after releasing QB Russell Wilson earlier this offseason. Now, the Broncos look to move forward.

Sports bettors seem to be very confident as to who Denver will move forward with. Read below to find out who they think the Broncos will draft.

Denver Broncos Favorites to Draft Bo Nix

According to John Ewing of BetMGM, the Broncos are the current favorites to draft Bo Nix. At the time of writing, Denver has -165 odds to draft Nix. This is especially notable because the opening odds for them to draft Nix were +325.

Also, there is no other team currently close to the Broncos when it comes to betting odds. The next closest team is one the Broncos know well. That team is the Las Vegas Raiders. They currently have +600 odds to draft Nix.

On top of this, there is a notable difference in the percentage of tickets held compared to the handle percentage. About 27.6% of betting tickets are on the Broncos to draft Nix. In comparison, over 57% of the handle is on the Broncos to draft Nix.

What does this mean? It means that sharp bettors heavily believe Nix is going to end up on the Broncos.

Bo Nix’s Rise

This past season, Nix built himself the best case possible to get drafted in a high position. That is because he had by far the best season of his college football career.

So, what did Nix do last season? Nix had 4,508 passing yards, 45 touchdown passes, and just three interceptions. These are all by far the best numbers he put up during his college football career.

It is important to note that transferring to Oregon in 2022 arguably put Nix on the map. While he was a solid quarterback at Auburn during his first three seasons, Nix’s numbers rose notably at Oregon. During his first season there, he had nearly 1,300 more passing yards and 18 more touchdown passes.

Quarterback Draft Discussion

Right now, the Denver Broncos currently hold the 12th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. It is safe to say there is a lot of competition in front of them to draft a quarterback.

You can argue there may be five teams in front of the Broncos interested in drafting a quarterback. This does not even include teams behind them who can potentially trade up. It is safe to say that this draft should be fun to watch.
