Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert broke his thumb in Sunday's playoff-clinching win and his status is in doubt for this week's playoff game, NFL Network reported Monday.

The Dolphins play at Buffalo on Sunday in an AFC Wild Card game.

The Dolphins are also uncertain who their quarterback will be. Tua Tagovailoa remains in concussion protocol and primary backup Teddy Bridgewater suffered a broken pinkie finger last week, missing the game against the Jets. Third-string quarterback Skylar Thompson guided Miami past the Jets.

Mostert rushed for 71 yards on 11 carries in Miami's 11-6 win over the New York Jets on Sunday. It's unclear when or how he suffered the injury.

Jeff Wilson would likely ascend to RB1 in place of Mostert if he's unable to go. Wilson rushed for 72 yards against the Jets.

Mostert led the Dolphins in rushing, finishing with 891 yards and three touchdowns in 16 games (14 starts), averaging 4.9 yards per rush. He also caught 31 passes for 202 yards and two TDs.
