Report: Eagles expected to trade Carson Wentz 'in the coming days'

It appears the Philadelphia Eagles will turn to Jalen Hurts in 2021.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen, the Eagles are expected to trade Carson Wentz "in the coming days," and a deal could happen as early as this week.

Teams reportedly believe the Eagles are seeking a first-round pick in exchange for Wentz, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Those teams expect a deal to be completed soon, as Schefter and Mortensen indicated above.

Wentz hasn't formally requested a trade, but he's reportedly still frustrated with the franchise even though it fired Doug Pederson.

The market for the 28-year-old could be limited due to his four-year, $128 million contract. However, the Indianapolis Colts, who need a QB following Philip Rivers' retirement, have reportedly been in contact with the Eagles about a trade for Wentz.

The New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers might also show interest in Wentz this offseason.
