Report: Eagles request to interview Todd Bowles, Arthur Smith

The Philadelphia Eagles are in the market for a new head coach after parting ways with Doug Pederson on Monday. On Tuesday, they reportedly requested to interview two current coordinators.

According to ESPN's Dan Graziano and Sal Paolantonio, Philadelphia has requested to interview Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive coordinator Todd Bowles and Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Arthur Smith for its vacant head-coaching position.

The Eagles also requested to interview San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh. Team owner Jeffrey Lurie mentioned Eagles assistant head coach and running backs coach Duce Staley as an internal candidate for the position.

Smith has been one of the hottest names on the market this season in terms of vacant head-coaching positions. He has interviewed or is expected to interview with every team that has a coaching position available.

Bowles, meanwhile, has received interview requests from the Detroit Lions and Atlanta Falcons. He served as head coach of the New York Jets from 2015-18, compiling a 24-40 record.
