Report: Jalen Ramsey agrees to massive five-year, $105 million extension with Rams

Jalen Ramsey has played like a superstar since arriving in the NFL in 2016, and now he's getting rewarded for his relentless dedication to the sport.

The Los Angeles Rams announced Wednesday that Ramsey has signed a five-year extension with the club, though they didn't specify the value. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the deal is worth $105 million with $71.2 million fully guaranteed. He now is the highest-paid defensive back in NFL history ...  and he seems pretty excited about it.

Ramsey was traded to L.A. last season from the Jacksonville Jaguars as the Florida franchise continues to go through a rebuild. In nine games with the Rams, the 25-year-old recorded one interception, 31 solo tackles and forced one fumble.

The three-time Pro Bowler now becomes a long-term staple in a Rams defense that includes Aaron Donald, who signed a six-year, $135 million extension before the 2018 campaign.

Ramsey is the fourth player since 2018 that the Rams have signed to a record-breaking extension, including Donald, Jared Goff and former running back Todd Gurley.
