Report: Ravens to explore contract extension for Lamar Jackson this offseason

Lamar Jackson is expected to be next in line for a massive contract extension. Deshaun Watson and Patrick Mahomes got paid, and now the former MVP is expecting to get a nice raise.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Baltimore Ravens are expected to explore a contract extension with Jackson this offseason.

It's not surprising that Jackson is due to get a hefty raise. The 2019 MVP has compiled a 30-7 record as Baltimore's starter while throwing for 7,085 yards. He also has 2,906 rushing yards and is the first QB in NFL history with multiple 1,000-plus-yard rushing seasons.

Mahomes is currently the NFL's highest-paid quarterback at $45 million per season. Watson ($39 million) and Russell Wilson ($35 million) are also among the highest-paid.

Rapoport also reported last week that Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is expected to receive a massive extension this offseason.
