Report: Ravens RB Mark Ingram to be healthy scratch against Bills

Baltimore Ravens running back Mark Ingram didn't play in last week's wild-card round matchup against the Tennessee Titans. It appears he'll be inactive for the second straight week.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Ingram will be a healthy scratch for Saturday's divisional-round matchup against the Buffalo Bills. The 31-year-old understands the decision, Schefter adds.

Ingram appeared in just 11 games for the Ravens this season, carrying the ball 72 times for 299 yards and two touchdowns. He also had six receptions for 50 yards on eight targets.

During the 2019 campaign, Ingram was the heart of Baltimore's offense, rushing for 1,018 yards and 10 touchdowns with 26 receptions for 247 yards and five scores. Since then, rookie J.K. Dobbins has emerged as the team's go-to option out of the backfield.

In 15 games this season, Dobbins had 134 carries for 805 yards and nine touchdowns with 18 receptions for an additional 120 yards. During last week's playoff game against Tennessee, the Ohio State product had nine carries for 43 yards and a touchdown.

With Ingram out of the lineup, the Ravens will rely on Dobbins and Gus Edwards.

Ingram has one year remaining on the three-year, $15 million deal he signed with the Ravens in 2019.
