Rumors earlier in the week around the NFL water cooler suggested that New England Patriots quarterback and impending free agent Tom Brady purchased a home in Las Vegas.

This led to further speculation that Brady could join the rebranded Raiders in Vegas once free agency opens.

Not so fast.

According to Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review Journal, rumors that Brady did in fact buy property in the desert metropolis are incorrect.

In no way does this mean Brady won’t look to potentially sign with the Raiders once free agency opens. Rather, it’s led to people jumping the gun on this. He was seen hanging out with Raiders owner Mark Davis during a recent MMA fight in Las Vegas.

What we do know is that the Raiders will likely move on from Derek Carr once the offseason officially gets going. Set to debut in Las Vegas this coming season, a splashy move of this ilk makes sense.

As for Brady, he’s going to test the free-agent market. The six-time Super Bowl champ has made that clear on multiple occasions since New England was eliminated in the AFC Wildcard playoffs by the Tennessee Titans.
