The Las Vegas Raiders used a fourth-round draft pick to bolster a position group that was already a position of strength on their roster: wide receiver. Las Vegas would enter this season with arguably the deepest wide receiver room in the National Football League before they drafted rookie wide receiver Tre Tucker from the University of Cincinnati.
Tucker spent most of the first half of the season behind veteran wide receivers while Las Vegas' coaching staff brought him along slowly. The Raiders made coaching and personnel changes around the midway point of the season, which led to Tucker's usage increasing as the season progressed.
Like many rookies, Tucker struggled early in the season but continued to make strides, specifically after Interim Head Coach Antonio Pierce took over. With big games against the Los Angeles Chargers and now the Denver Broncos, Tucker has shown a bright future ahead of him in Las Vegas.
As the team's leading receiver, Tucker finished the Raiders' final game of the season. The rookie had five catches for 79 yards. After his 47-yard reception in the first half, Tucker began impacting the game without having the ball in his hands.
The rookie was able to draw so much attention to himself on a route in the second half from the Broncos' defense they left Meyers open for his second touchdown of the day. A receiver who can influence the game, even without the ball, is a valuable asset for a team.
All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams finished the game with five catches for 46 yards and a touchdown. Jakobi Meyers added a rushing and a receiving touchdown of his own.
The trio of Adams, Meyers, and Tucker have the potential to be exceptional moving forward. Especially if tight end Michael Mayer continues to develop as expected, Tucker could potentially prove to be a draft steal should he evolve into a top-three receiving option for Las Vegas.

Las Vegas' season is over, and they now face many questions about their team's and organization's future. What is for sure, though, is that Tucker is here to stay and will almost surely be even more of an impact player for the Raiders as they move into the future.
