Samuel Adams honoring Tom Brady with 'Greatest of Ale Time' beer

Long before quarterback Tom Brady guided the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a Super Bowl title in February 2021, he had established himself as the G.O.A.T. while leading the New England Patriots to six championships.

Samuel Adams is honoring the beloved Patriots legend with a special brew.

As Will Katcher explained for MassLive, Samuel Adams will begin a presale Saturday at noon ET for its "Greatest of Ale Time" New England Double IPA. Purchases can be made at the Sam Adams Boston Brewery and taprooms, and also on the brewery’s website

Fans will have to be quick, though, as the brewery is only releasing 199 cases of its "G.O.A.T.," a nod to how the Patriots originally acquired Brady via the 199th selection of the 2000 NFL Draft. Cans of the beer first available for order on Saturday feature the head of a goat, but the actual beverage won't be available until March 28 -- yes, 3/28, the deficit Brady and the Patriots famously erased to defeat the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI.

Katcher notes the ale contains 7% alcohol by volume to represent the seven total Super Bowl rings Brady earned throughout his once-in-a-generation career.

There's no word if this gesture will lead to Brady ever signing a one-day contract to retire as a member of the Patriots.
