Seahawks QB Russell Wilson 'pretty dang close' to 100 percent healthy

Seattle Seahawks star quarterback Russell Wilson confirmed earlier this week he was returning to action after he missed the past three games due to the injured middle finger on his throwing hand, and head coach Pete Carroll confidently told reporters Monday that Wilson was "way, way ahead of schedule" regarding his recovery.

Wilson seemed to confirm that news Thursday ahead of this Sunday's game at the 7-2 Green Bay Packers.

Per Seahawks insider Curtis Crabtree, the one-time Super Bowl champion explained that he's "pretty dang close" to feeling 100% after he was a spectator for two Seattle losses during his three-game absence:

Wide receiver Tyler Lockett added some praise for his QB1:

Seattle needs Wilson at his best as soon as possible, and not just because Green Bay is a formidable opponent. The Seahawks enter that matchup at 3-5 on the season and also learned Thursday that three-time Pro Bowl receiver Odell Beckham Jr. officially chose the Los Angeles Rams after he was heavily linked with Seattle in rumors and reports:

The Seahawks play at the Rams on Dec. 19.
