The broadcast crew for the Steelers week one matchup against the San Francisco 49ers has been revealed, Fox Sports will host the game, and Joe Davis , Fox’s lead for the MLB, Daryl Johnston, and Pam Oliver will be the announcers for the first week’s matchup.

Davis has worked around sports for nearly 15 years, including calling multiple sports. His NFL duties are often not his main ones, but he has done NFL games in perpetuity since around 2014. Johnston and Oliver are on the same crew again, having significant experience in their positions. Oliver is a nearly four-year veteran, while Johnston started his full-time color commentator duties with Fox in 2017.

The game is slated for 1:00 p.m. Pittsburgh will stay home for a Monday night matchup against the Cleveland Browns the following week to start the first two weeks of the season.

The Steelers get to play the 49ers at home, which has not happened often since Acrisure Stadium was built 22 years ago. Recently, the Steelers were successful against San Francisco at Acrisure Stadium, going 2-0 in their two matchups against the 49ers. Historically, the 49ers have a narrow all-time series lead, going 12-10 against the Steelers. The Steelers will open at home for the first time since the 2014 season.
