Steelers activate running back James Conner from reserve/COVID list

The Pittsburgh Steelers have had difficulty in the backfield over the past two weeks without their starting running back. That should change on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.

The Steelers announced Wednesday that James Conner has been removed from the reserve/COVID list and will be eligible to play this weekend.

Without Conner during Monday night's 23-17 loss to the Washington Football Team, Anthony McFarland, Benny Snell and Jaylen Samuels combined for just 21 yards on the ground. The week prior, Pittsburgh ran for just 68 yards against the Baltimore Ravens.

In 10 games this season, Conner has 145 carries for 645 yards and five touchdowns. He also has 25 receptions for 145 yards.
