Browns’ Myles Garrett calls out Steelers after first loss of the season

Cleveland Browns edge rusher Myles Garrett already knows a thing or two about the heated rivalry with the Pittsburgh Steelers. For the potential NFL Defensive Player of the Year, a lot of that has to do with his actions.

But we digress. Garrett was like the rest of the NFL world, sitting back at home watching the then 11-0 Steelers take on the Washington Football Team Monday evening.

It’s no surprise that the former No. 1 pick was shocked to watch Washington pull off the upset of the season, winning 23-17. Garrett apparently opted to call the Steelers out rather than remain quiet.

Opened what door, exactly? Despite their upset loss in Week 13, these Steelers are still two games ahead of Cleveland with four games remaining.

As was pointed out in response to the Garrett tweet, Pittsburgh also beat Cleveland 38-7 back in Week 6.

Sure the Browns are a feel-good story heading into Week 14. They are 9-3 for the first time since Bill Belichick was roaming the sidelines in Cleveland. Nevertheless, it seems that Garrett has a lot to learn.

That includes not providing the division’s top dog bulletin-board material, especially after what we saw last season.

Can Garrett and the Browns catch the Steelers?

Another argument exists that Cleveland actually has a chance to pull off a late-season comeback and win the AFC North.

Of the Browns’ remaining four games, two come against the New Jersey-based teams. They also have a Week 14 outing against the struggling Baltimore Ravens before closing the season against Pittsburgh.

As for the Steelers, they take on the Bills this coming week before games against the Bengals and Colts ahead of that Week 17 matchup with Cleveland.

At this point, anything is possible. Garrett could be right.
