The rivalry between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens in the NFL is legendary, captivating fans with its intense competition. With a historical record of 32 wins to 24 losses, the Steelers hold a notable edge over the Ravens.

Adding to the Steelers' strength, their already formidable defense received a significant boost with the acquisition of the former Ravens linebacker, Patrick Queen. Securing him to a lucrative three-year, $41 million contract to enhance their defensive prowess even further. This move not only bolsters their lineup, but also carries the added satisfaction of acquiring talent from a divisional adversary.

On Friday, Queen engaged with members of the media for the first time, addressing his recent inclusion in the esteemed franchise. When queried about any potential personal rivalries within the current Steelers locker room stemming from his tenure with the Ravens, Queen responded. Queen bowed his head and laughed before mentioning one specific player he personally hated.

"Mr. [Jaylen] Warren. He’s a hell of a running back. Strong, kind of short to the ground, low center of gravity. I definitely hated playing against him. Personally, we hated him, but at the end of the day, it’s all love. I do respect his game and I do respect him as a person. I honestly can’t wait to play with somebody who plays like him.”

Queen highlighted Jaylen Warren, the gritty and hard-hitting undrafted free agent running back, as the individual he personally harbored animosity towards. However, he clarified that this sentiment was devoid of any personal vendetta, expressing eagerness to collaborate and aid each other's improvement.

During the interaction with a media representative, Queen was asked if he was excited for the linebackers versus running backs drills at training camp.

“Yeah, I definitely am. We got to get it understood before hand, I need his head up and not launching it into my chest. It’s going to be fun. We are going to get each other better. I can’t wait.”

With a lighthearted demeanor, Queen persisted in jesting about his past rivalry with Warren, showcasing his enthusiasm for his new journey in Pittsburgh. Eager to dive into the grind, he expressed readiness to contribute to the team.

Steelers supporters eagerly await Queen's debut in the number six jersey, anticipating his integration into an already formidable defensive lineup. The prospect of having Queen in the fold adds yet another layer of excitement for Steelers fans.

Steelers' 2024 Offseason Has Been Busy, But It Isn't Done Yet

The 2024 offseason for the Steelers has been a rollercoaster of excitement. Initially sluggish, it gained momentum with the arrival of their new quarterback, Russell Wilson. However, the pace accelerated further when the Steelers made the move of trading Diontae Johnson to the Carolina Panthers.

Amidst a landscape of dwindling options and rampant rumors, speculation abounds. Some are daring to envision the Steelers orchestrating an unlikely blockbuster trade for Minnesota Vikings' standout wide receiver, Justin Jefferson.

Despite the distant horizon of the upcoming season, Steeler Nation brims with eager anticipation, envisioning the impact that new acquisitions will make in the 2024 campaign. For Steelers enthusiasts, it's an electrifying era to be part of the black and gold faithful.
