Steelers should make this bold staff change

Every head-coaching vacancy has officially been filled in the NFL, and although the Steelers coaching staff seems set for the 2023 season, they should make one more last-minute change.

Chiefs' offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy has somehow been passed up on once again and Pittsburgh should go get him.

Bieniemy helped lead Kansas City to its second Super Bowl win in four years with an offense that ranked as the best in the league in total yards per game (413.6) and points per game (29.2) this season.

He has been with the Chiefs since 2013, serving as their offensive coordinator since 2018. But he seems to be looking for a new opportunity to showcase his coaching ability out from under head coach Andy Reid's shadow.

The Steelers could be a great fit for Bieniemy. They have a young and talented offense, and he can take second-year QB Kenny Pickett to the next level.

Mike Tomlin is also a defensive-minded head coach. So Bieniemy could have full control of the offense to showcase why he should be a future head coach in the NFL.

The move could be controversial as Pittsburgh already committed to Matt Canada as its offensive coordinator for next season. However, Bieniemy could take the Steelers offense to new heights after ranking as one of the worst units in 2022.
