Super Bowl MVP bets to place right now

The final two NFL teams are set. San Francisco and Kansas City are all that's left. If you like a team to win it all, consider loading up these Super Bowl MVP futures instead. Odds are courtesy of FanDuel.

If you think the San Francisco 49ers win ...

Bet: Christian McCaffrey MVP (+450)

We, or better stated, I as a writer, have been very anti-Brock Purdy as it relates to any MVP market. Before Christmas when Purdy was the MVP favorite, we correctly knew to pivot far away from that and load up just about anyone else to win the award, and sure enough, he came crashing down with a turnover-ridden performance against the Ravens.

Purdy did not look good against Green Bay, and if San Francisco wins the Super Bowl, Christian McCaffrey seems like the engine that would help them get there. He scored twice in the Divisional Round and piled up the yards, and in the final game, the Niners would surely ride him all game long.

If you think the Kansas City Chiefs win...

Bet: Travis Kelce MVP (+1500)

We'll wrap with a long shot, why the heck not? Funny enough, on Sunday night FanDuel has Kansas City at +100 to win the Super Bowl, and they have Patrick Mahomes at +125 to win SB MVP. There's certainly no value in that, so we move way down the ladder and sprinkle on his tight end piling up the stats to take home MVP honors.

Of course, it's most likely Mahomes in this sense, but in a year without much help from his receivers, is it so inconceivable to suggest a world where Kelce takes in 10+ catches, 150+ yards and 2+ touchdowns to help power another Kansas City Super Bowl? At this price, we'll dance.
