Tampa Bay Buccaneers OL Aaron Stinnie suffers torn ACL and MCL, adding to team's O-line woes

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' offensive line woes got worse this weekend when guard Aaron Stinnie suffered ACL and MCL tears in a preseason game against the Tennessee Titans on Saturday night.

Stinnie, 28, appeared to be in line to win the starting left guard role for the Buccaneers after spending the last three seasons as a reserve for the team. On Sunday, Buccaneers coach Todd Bowles told reporters about the severity of the injury and said the team will be on the lookout for quality offensive linemen available on the free agency market.

In February, the Buccaneers' Pro Bowl guard Ali Marpet surprisingly announced his retirement at age 28. A month later, Tampa Bay filled that void by trading to acquire Shaq Mason from the New England Patriots.

But problems along the offensive line have continued to pile up in the last month with Pro Bowlers Ryan Jensen and Tristan Wirfs going down with injuries. Jensen is out indefinitely after suffering a knee injury in July and Wirfs suffered an oblique strain earlier this week.

Last season, the Buccaneers offensive line gave up the fewest sacks in the NFL, allowing just 23. Tampa Bay finished 20th in rushing yards per attempt with 4.3.
