The start to the 2023-24 campaign for this TCU women's basketball team has been nothing short of incredible. Under first year head coach Mark Campbell, this team has soared expectations winning 14 in a row including a conference win over BYU and shooting up to No. 23 in the AP poll.

Unfortunately, the Frogs ran into their first bump in the road falling to the Baylor Bears 71-50. TCU led at halftime by four, but the lead slipped away quickly as Baylor outscored the Horned Frogs by 24 in the second half. The big killer was the three-point shooting as the team shot 2-16.

Baylor knocked down 13 threes led by Bella Fontleroy with five. Baylor also converted 21 points off 19 turnovers and 13 fast break points. A team that ranks second among all D-1 teams in three pointers in TCU should expect much better shooting games moving forward.

It was another big night for Sedona Prince who finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Her defensive skills shined adding four blocks and two steals. Prince is having a fantastic season as the anchor for Campbell's squad and is now tied for second nationally in double-doubles.

Madison Conner had 11 points and in her first game against her former team, Jaden Owens had eight points and six rebounds.

This is certainly a loss TCU can shake off. It's been a tremendous start to the season and there is no reason anyone should worry in Fort Worth. Their next chance to bounce back will be on Saturday when they take on Oklahoma State at home at 4 p.m.
