Houston Texans owner Cal McNair on Monday provided an update on wide receiver Tank Dell, who continues to recover after being wounded in a shooting last month.

McNair provided a positive update on Dell at the team’s charity golf outing, saying he expects the wide receiver to make a full recovery following the “frightening” injury.

“It looks like Tank will make a full recovery,” McNair said, via Kristie Rieken of the Associated Press. “We saw him in the office the other day and he looked good, in good spirits. But he’ll have to rehab and get back to where he was.”

Dell was among those shot at a party in Florida late last month. The Texans have been vague on his status, but he was treated and released for what the team called a “minor wound.”

Dell emerged as a standout wide receiver for the Texans as a rookie last year with 47 catches for 709 yards and seven touchdowns in 11 games.
