Tim Tebow's comeback bid ends with release by Jaguars

The Tim Tebow Comeback Tour has mercifully ended before it really got started.

The former Heisman Trophy was released by the Jacksonville Jaguars on Tuesday, ending his bid to reinvent himself as a tight end.

Tebow, never one to shy away from the spotlight, addressed being released on social media on Tuesday morning.

Tebow, 34, was trying to reunite with former college coach Urban Meyer in his efforts to return to the NFL. Apparently, the two couldn't drum up the same chemistry they did at Florida.

Tebow has kept busy despite not taking a snap in the NFL since 2015. In addition to working as a broadcaster on the SEC Network, he has made multiple attempts to start a successful baseball career.
