The Tennessee Titans are trying to figure out how to navigate life without Derrick Henry.

The superstar running back is likely out for the remainder of the regular season, but the timetable in place does say he can return for the postseason.

Adrian Peterson was brought in as a replacement and he did score a touchdown in an exciting win over the Los Angeles Rams.

But it has only been a few weeks and the Titans have already decided to move on from the veteran.

The Titans have waived Peterson as Dontrell Hilliard is up to take his spot.

Peterson Seeking Another Chance

This seems like a bit of a surprising move on a Tuesday.

But Sunday’s loss to the Houston Texans may have the Titans in a bit of a panic.

They fell 22-13 in a game that saw Peterson run nine times for 40 yards.

Meanwhile, Ryan Tannehill tossed four interceptions in the unacceptable divisional loss to the now 2-8 Texans.

Hilliard only had seven carries for 35 yards, but also added eight catches for 47 yards.

Being more of a weapon in the passing game has clearly worked to his advantage.

Peterson is now hoping he can get another shot somewhere else this season.

It is possible the Titans do bring him back soon as the roster shuffling continues.

Could a team like the Baltimore Ravens give Peterson a chance as they deal with their own running back shuffle?

Or maybe the Kansas City Chiefs bring in the veteran to add depth to a championship-level offense.

Peterson returned and proved that while he may not be a lead back anymore, he can still hold his own.

That should mean he isn’t out of a job for too long.
