Titans place Jadeveon Clowney on IR with knee injury

It took Jadeveon Clowney a while to land a deal with a new team this offseason due to his injury history. Many teams passed on him, but the Tennessee Titans decided to sign him, and now they might be regretting that decision.

The Titans announced Saturday that they have placed Clowney on injured reserve with a knee injury that he has been dealing with for weeks. He'll now miss a minimum of three games.

Tennessee signed Clowney to a one-year, $12.5 million deal in September in hopes that he would better their pass rush. He hasn't lived up to the deal thus far, registering just 14 solo tackles, one forced fumble, six quarterback hits and no sacks on the year.

In a corresponding move, the Titans elevated linebacker Tuzar Skipper from the practice squad. They also placed cornerback Kareem Orr on injured reserve.
