While quarterback Tom Brady’s future with the New England Patriots remains uncertain entering the offseason, many around the league reportedly expect the Hall of Famer to stay in New England next season.

According to The Athletic’s Jay Glazer, many people around the league believe Brady will ultimately re-sign with the Patriots for the 2020 season. However, Glazer notes that they might not get a hometown discount this time around.

The 42-year-old is coming off one of the worst seasons in his career, though it’s a high standard given his years of excellence. He threw for 4,057 yards this season with 24 touchdowns and just eight interceptions, often overcoming one of the NFL’s worst receiving corps.

A six-time Super Bowl champion coming off a tough loss in the first round of the NFL playoffs, Brady will undoubtedly be looking to prove himself and silence the critics suggesting he has significantly declined.

The Los Angeles Chargers, Las Vegas Raiders and Dallas Cowboys emerged as the early favorites to sign Brady this offseason. Speculation of him leaving the Patriots intensified more when he hinted that he’s willing to sign with another team and motivated to prove himself once again.

Multiple contenders are targeting Brady if he becomes available. While a few stand out as great landing spots, it appears most likely that he returns to the Patriots in 2020.
