Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady has inked a massive deal to become Fox Sports’ lead NFL analyst upon his retirement.

If you were one that was hoping Tom Brady would ride off into the sunset, never to be heard from again… I hate to be the bearer of bad news but whenever he does actually hang up the cleats he will still be very present every Sunday for the foreseeable future.

According to Andrew Marchand, Brady has signed a 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox Sports to replace Troy Aikman as their lead NFL Analyst the moment he retires for good. He would instantly become the highest-paid broadcaster across all networks and would quickly surpass his career earnings from actually playing the game.

It is not a certainty that Brady hangs up the cleats after this season, however, given his brief retirement earlier this offseason and his pending free agency, it seems more than reasonable that 2022 will actually be Brady’s last season playing football. With that said, it’s hard to imagine Brady trading in playing in the Super Bowl for broadcasting it if he still feels he can play more than just one season.

For now, he is fully committed to the 2022 season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as he expressed excitement for the new opportunity but quickly emphasized that he and his Buccaneers teammates have a lot of unfinished business heading into this season.

Of course, Brady and the Buccaneers’ season ended at home at the hands of the eventual Super Bowl-winning Rams after a late-game comeback attempt. On paper, the Buccaneers once again look like one of the best teams in the NFC and a prime candidate to represent the conference in Super Bowl LVII.
