Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski will return to New England in Week 4

Tom Brady will forever be a New England Patriot — even if he actually does play until he's 50 years old with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers — after spearheading a dynasty and collecting six of his seven Super Bowl rings alongside head coach Bill Belichick.

According to Bleacher Report's Master Tesfatsion on Wednesday morning, Brady will make his highly anticipated return to New England later this year as the Bucs travel to face the Patriots in Week 4.

It will mark the first time Brady visits Foxborough since departing the organization in March 2020.

The 43-year-old subsequently signed with Tampa days later. Since then, he led the Buccaneers to their first Super Bowl title since January 2003 — his all-time-most seventh championship — and signed an extension with the team.

This will also be tight end Rob Gronkowski's first time playing against the Patriots. Gronk had retired in March 2019, following the Pats' Super Bowl LIII victory, after spending his entire career in New England. The 31-year-old was lured back to the NFL by the opportunity to reunite with Brady elsewhere.

Brady was famously taken by Belichick and the Patriots in the sixth round (No. 199 overall) of the 1999 NFL draft. The three-time MVP took over under center in 2001 and never looked back.

All 32 teams' full schedules will be unveiled beginning at 8 p.m. ET Wednesday night (May 12) on NFL Network.
