Turnovers spoil Cowboys' comeback against Eagles on 'SNF'

The Cowboys almost mounted a comeback against the Eagles, but it wasn't enough. They lost 26-17.

Philadelphia raced to a 20-3 lead in the first half. The Cowboys fought back in the second half scoring two touchdowns.

Unfortunately, Cooper Rush's third interception halted the comeback. Penalties piled as well; Dallas had eight while Philadelphia had two.

Early mistakes and an inability to make key plays prevented the Cowboys from escaping the Eagles' clutches.

They weren't outclassed by their division rival, yet they need to execute fully, so they can beat elite teams.

Winning four games and averaging 19 points per game with a backup quarterback shows the Cowboys can vault into the upper echelon of the NFL.

Starting quarterback Dak Prescott is expected to return in the upcoming game against the Lions. This may provide the final piece the Cowboys need to compete at a higher level.
