Tyreek Hill suggests moving Pro Bowl to middle of NFL season

The NFL has made attempts to make the Pro Bowl more palatable for years. And now that the rebranded annual event is changing to a non-contact flag football game this season, Miami Dolphins' star wideout Tyreek Hill is proposing another logical change.

Shortly after the announcement of this year's rosters for the Pro Bowl Games, Hill took to Twitter, suggesting the yearly all-star festivities should take place during the season, much like the NBA showcases its stars.

Long ago watered down because players either decline the invitation or don't give their all to avoid injury in an exhibition game, NFL owners began discussing possible changes to the Pro Bowl earlier this year.

After discussions with owners, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell later commented that the Pro Bowl "doesn't work" and that the league needed to find a "different way" to celebrate its players.

"We talked an awful lot about some of the events around the Pro Bowl that are really extremely popular, whether it's the quarterback challenge or some of the other events," Goodell said. "So those are things that we'll probably build on."

Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas will host this year's games on February 5, the week before Super Bowl LVII. The games will feature the NFL FLAG youth championships, Pro Bowl skills challenges, and live musical performances, to go along with the feature event, the AFC/NFC flag games.
