Veteran WR Marqise Lee signing with 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers decided to keep a wide receiver who tried out over the weekend.
Lee opted out of the 2020 campaign due to the COVID-19 pandemic and has not played since 2019. He signed a one-year deal with the New England Patriots in April last year, but they cut him in March.
The 29-year-old spent his first six seasons with the Jaguars. However, he hasn't played a full season since 2016 and missed the entire 2018 season with a torn ACL.
In 59 games, Lee has 174 catches for 2,184 yards and eight touchdowns.
