Vikings' Jalen Reagor has 'revenge on his mind' ahead of Week 2 vs. Eagles

So far, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jalen Reagor has had a tumultuous, albeit short, NFL career.

Chosen by the Philadelphia Eagles in the opening round of the 2020 NFL Draft, Reagor quickly fell out of favor in the City of Brotherly Love. Just two years removed from being selected in the first round by the Eagles, Philly traded Reagor to the Minnesota Vikings ahead of the 2022 season for a 2023 seventh-round pick and a 2024 conditional draft selection.

Reagor doesn't have to wait long for an opportunity to prove the Eagles were wrong to give up on him. Reagor and the Vikings travel to Philadelphia on Monday night to take on the 23-year-old's former squad in prime time.

Speaking with reporters on Thursday, Reagor didn't deny he was looking for some measure of revenge against the team that drafted him.

Reagor would have to have quite a performance on Monday night to make Eagles fans feel remorse about his unceremonious exit.

In 29 regular-season games with Philly, Reagor compiled 64 catches for 695 yards and three touchdowns. Not the type of production one would expect from a first-round pick, especially one selected just before two-time Pro Bowler Justin Jefferson. Earlier this month, Eagles general manager Howie Roseman revisited the blunder, saying, "We'd love to have that moment back."

As for the reception he'll get from the notorious Philly faithful? Reagor seems prepared for anything.

"Who knows? It could be good, bad, indifferent," Reagor told Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press. "Those things I really don't worry about because it's out of my control."
