Washington Football Team owner Dan Snyder and his wife, Tanya, will miss Sunday's game due to the coronavirus.

The two came into contact with someone who tested positive for the virus and are currently quarantining, team physician Anthony Casolaro said in a statement.

Both Snyders have tested negative for the virus, though Casolaro told them to quarantine out of an abundance of caution. Casolaro said:

"Although the Snyders will not be present at today's game in Arizona against the Cardinals, the health and safety of those with whom they may come into contact is paramount. They will be with the team in spirit, watching the game from home and rooting for a Washington victory."

Washington has been one of the most cautious teams in the NFL when it comes to the coronavirus pandemic. It became the first team to pull scouts off the road in the spring and the first to close down its building to staff.

After winning its season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles last week, Washington will look to go 2-0 against the Arizona Cardinals at State Farm Stadium on Sunday.
